Monsoon driving tips

Skidding and Aquaplaning are the twin hazards that come along with the
rains. A Skid occurs when the vehicle looses traction due to hard
braking & Aquaplaning on the other hand occurs when water layer builds
up under the tyre with such pressure that the vehicle looses contact
with the road.

Change the bald and worn out tyres , ensure that there is adequate
tread depth & maintain the correct air pressure. Drive slowly as the
faster the vehicle is, the more difficult it will be for the tyres to
expel water underneath.

Avoid driving through puddles & waterlogged roads and try to stay in
the middle of the road as water tends to pool on the outer lanes. As
the road will change and potholes can form during the rain anytime,
avoid driving over puddles when possible.

Anticipate breaking situations in advance & break with gentle thrusts
rather than slamming the breaks.
