Why rotate your tyres?
The simplest way to extend the life of tyres is to rotate them periodically.
The reason behind this is that, the front & the rear tyres wear-out unevenly.
The front tyres carry more load as the engine is located on that side while
the rear carries less. Similarly, driving habits & drive mode of the vehicle
also influence the rate of wear on the tyre. So, after a certain time period or
distance travelled the tyres will be uneven and the right thing to do is the rotate
and balance them.
Depending on the drive mode of your vehicle – ie; front, rear or all four ,
the recommended tyre rotation pattern will also change. An easy way to
remember when to rotate is to do so whenever you change the engine oil.
