Honk before you start the car  

Press the horn a couple of times before you start the car early in the morning or after office when the vehicle was on stand still for a while. During the rainy season, animals like cats or stray dogs will find the needed comfort somewhere at your car, especially when it was stagnant for a while. Dogs may sleep under the vehicle and cats will find refuge sometimes inside the bonnet. The engine bay makes it a perfect place to sleep in especially for cats as it offers a perfect atmosphere when it's cold outside.

So, when you are about to enter the vehicle, knock on the bonnet a couple of times and then press the horn before starting the engine during this season. The animals will get the get the heads up and will get out of the way. The good thing is that, by doing this simple thing we can start our day realizing that we saved a life or more.
