Caring Your Car Battery
It’s important that your car battery must be in top shape, and for this to happen it should have periodical maintenance. Maintaining the car battery isn’t difficult.
Start with cleaning the outside of the battery. Wipe with a damp cloth using a mild detergent.
To clean the terminals, first remove the negative cable (Black) & then the positive cable ( Red). Use a brass wire brush dipped into baking soda & water mix for cleaning. A few table spoons of baking soda added with a little bit of water will gives the appropriate cleaning mix.
Coat the battery terminals with good quality grease, this will protect from rust & corrosion. Check for cracks in the battery and also watch for bulging. They are the signs that the battery needs to be replaced. After cleaning, reinstall the cables starting with the positive.
