Tip of The Day
What is ABS , EBD & EBA ?
ABS or Anti-lock Braking System stops the wheels from locking up when
you brake, so you can retain control over the car. ABS is an automated
system that works from the tyre movement input which uses the
principles of threshold & cadence braking, thereby minimizing the
chance of uncontrolled skidding.
EBD or Electronic Brake Distribution automatically distributes braking
pressure between all four wheels for maximum effect. Coupled with ABS,
the EBD can apply more or less force depending upon road conditions,
speed & load.
EBA or Electronic Brake Assist, the onboard system realizes that the
driver is trying for an emergency stop & if the brake pedal is not
fully engaged, then the system overrides and fully applies the brakes
until the ABS takes over to stop the wheels from locking up. It
interprets braking behaviour by assessing the rate at that which the
brake pedal is activated.
