Tip of The Day
Use your nose to identify some problems
If you smell a burning odor similar to that when plastic is burning in
a pile of rubble, it may be a burnt insulation or an electric short.
Don’t risk driving if you smell so.
If you are getting a rotten egg smell then it’s likely the catalytic
converter & it need to be repaired. A thick sharp odor is often a
symptom of burning oil. If so then have a look under the car to see if
you can spot an oil leak. You may also see a bluish smoke coming from
the tail pipe in such a situation.
If you smell fuel after your vehicle fails to start up the engine may
have become flooded, then wait for a few minutes before trying to
start again. If you continue to notice the same smell then there may
be a leak in the fuel system which can be dangerous. If so, contact
the nearest Popular Hyundai service station and get the vehicle
checked as soon as possible.
These simple tips will help to alert you of a potential problem with
your vehicle that must be addressed quickly.
