Tip of The Day
City driving in slow traffic
City driving puts a lot of strain on the driver as well as on the
vehicle alike. As we have to use the clutch, brake & the gear more
often, the parts will wear out much faster than expected.
The ideal way is to wait until the vehicle in front has moved a few
feet and then only move the vehicle. Shift to neutral whenever it’s
possible & try to use hand brake for long halts. Don’t rev up the
engine & then slam on the brakes, as you may be able to stop fast, the
vehicle behind you may not be able to do the same.
Always make full use of the ORVM’s especially the left side one as
they are there for a purpose. They will give you a heads-up to notice
the vehicles trying to pass you from both sides. Plan the turns in
advance, always use the indicators & make sure that you are visible to
others. The bottom line for city driving is - always expect the
unexpected & expect things in advance.
