Tip of the day
Common driving mistakes
Driving downhill in neutral – The brakes will get overheated & will
lose efficiency. Experts use a mix of engine & regular breaking on
downhill slopes.
Keeping the clutch depressed at traffic signals – It not only
increases fuel consumption but also wear out the clutch sooner. Shift
to neutral when you’re stopping the car for a while.
Revving a cold engine – Engines need a couple of minutes to properly
warm up, revving it hard before this time may cause engine damage.
Not idling a turbo charger – Switching off a turbo charged engine
right away does more harm than good. Always idle a turbo charged
engine for not less than 30 seconds before turning off the ignition.
Riding the clutch - Placing the foot over the clutch while driving
results in premature clutch plate wear & tear. Always release the
clutch fully while driving.
