Tip of the Day

Symptoms of bad or failing spark plugs

Starting problems / Misfiring – If the engine misfires or there is
starting trouble, then it’s typically related to the ignition system
or a sensor malfunction. However, it can also be related to problems
with the plugs. If the engine is left unchecked then it will result in
power drop, increased emissions & low fuel economy.

Slow acceleration – Today’s cars are packed with sensors that tell the
vehicle when & where to fire the spark plugs. Acceleration problems
may be related to sensor issues, but sometimes the issue is just as
simple as a worn out spark plug.

Poor fuel economy – When the spark plugs are not working perfectly, it
is frequent due to the fact that the gap between electrodes is either
too close or too far. Removing the plugs and adjusting the gap to
factory settings is a solution.

Other than these if the engine is giving out rough & jittery sound
with vibrations while idling, then the ignition system must be fully
checked as soon as possible
