Tip of The Day

Driving on waterlogged roads

Yes, driving through water makes us feel like a kid again. It feels so
much fun but it’s safe to resist the temptation to plough through
flooded roads. First and foremost, keep in mind that splashing through
the water can also cause damage to the engine.

The air intake is located low down on the front side of the vehicle,
speeding through water can cause hydrostatic lock as water can enter
into the engine causing it to seize. Moreover, we don’t know what’s
lurking underneath the muddy water. There can be a deep pothole or an
open manhole that can just ruin the day.

Always keep the vehicle on the center lane as water tends to pool on
the outer lanes. If the water level can submerge your tail pipe, then
do take an alternative route & never drive into a flooded area if you
are not sure about the depth of the water.
