Signs to change the air filter

                               

The air-filter is the barrier that prevents outside contaminants which
can damage the engine. Over time, the air-filter can get clogged & the
lack of air will result in reduced engine performance.

These are some signs that says to change the filter

• Reduced fuel economy
• Misfiring engine
• Reduced horse power
• Smoke or flames from the exhaust
• Smell of fuel while starting the vehicle

If the filter is damaged, holes will develop which will let in
external particles into the engine. This can lead to damages & costly
repairs. Normally, air-filters need to be changed only after a
specific interval. But if you are using the vehicle for a while in
dust and dirt conditions, then do clean the filter or replace it if
necessary well before that time period.
